
Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated on the fourth day of the bright fortnight of the month of Bhadrapada every year. According to belief, Lord Ganesha was born on this day of Madhyahan Karl on Monday with Swati Nakshatra and Leo Ascendant. Hence, it is considered to be the most important Ganesh Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chaturthi. Also known as Kalank Chaturthi, in some areas he is also known as Danda Chauth.
Ganesh Chaturthi Muhurat
1 The festival is celebrated in Chaturthi during Madhyahan Karl.
2. When the festival falls on Sunday or Tuesday, it is known as Maha Chaturthi (due to its greater significance).
Ganesh Chaturthi Vrat & Puja Vidhi
1. Immediately the observer should take an idol of Ganesha made of gold, copper, mud, etc. After completing the daily morning ritual.
2. After filling the new Kalash with water, cover its mouth with a new cloth and place Lord Ganesha on it.
3. After sacrificing Vermillion and Durva, bring 21 of his Laddo as sacred food.
Keep five laddoos for Ganesh Ji and give the rest to Brahmins and the poor.
4. Ganesha must be worshiped in the evening. After Ganesh he chants Chaturthi, Katha, Chalitha and Aarti offer water to the moon without looking at it.
5 Siddhi Vinayak, the incarnation of Ganesha, is worshiped on this day.
Note:
1. You are not supposed to see the moon on this day. If he accidentally sees the moon, he can get rid of the dosha (curse) by chanting the following mantra 28, 54 or 108 times. Doshas can also be removed by chanting the 57th Adhyaya of the 10th Skanda of Srimad Bhagwat.

2. Make sure no basil leaves are used in Ganesh Puja. Ganesha likes all leaves and flowers except tulsi (basil).
